Dr. Lon Lewis

Vice President, Clinical Nutrition

Dr. Lon Lewis was a private veterinary practice owner and professor of veterinary nutrition at Colorado State University. He co-authored the definitive textbook on the subject, Small Animal Clinical Nutrition, now used by all North American veterinary colleges. After leaving academia, he provided professional education, formulation, research and quality assurance for Hill’s Pet Nutrition through Mark Morris Associates. Independently, he has developed a variety of new products, including the world’s leading dog treat. Lon has a BS in Chemical Engineering from the University of Wyoming and a DVM and PhD from Colorado State University. He is a founder and diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Nutrition.
